Let’s face it. Traditional to-do lists suck! They grow and grow and grow. They lack priority, get messy, and are easily lost. What if there was a better way to manage your day-to-day work? Introducing The Center For Agile Leadership® Personal Task Board, your secret weapon for increasing your focus, productivity, and overall happiness.
GET STARTED IN THREE EASY STEPS
1. Grab some small sticky notes and write down everything you need to get done in the “To Do” column Note: One task per sticky
2. Put the highest priority item into the “Doing” column and get going.
3. Once the task is complete, move it to “Done” and high five yourself.
FOR ADVANCED USERS
Prioritize the tasks in your “To Do” column. Put your sticky notes in order from most important to least important.
To get more done, you need to do less (No, we haven’t lost our minds). For each column decide what is the maximum number of tasks that you allow in that space. Crazy thought: limit your “Doing” column to only two tasks for maximum productivity.
The “Pending” column is a place to park tasks that have become roadblocked. You still want to keep them active, but you are waiting on something outside of your control to be resolved before completing the task.
