You are about to begin a life-altering journey to become an Agile leader. This 3-month program will; expose you to new ways of thinking, challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone, and help you build relationships that will last a lifetime.
To help you get the most out of the program, we’ve put together this short overview of what you can expect from Agileadership™.
Prior to class, we will send you the necessary pre-work via e-mail. The pre-work primarily includes; assessments and questionnaires. The assessments will give you a detailed look into your own psyche and help you better understand your path forward. Your personal questionnaire will be used by our marketing team to build you a personalized Agileader profile based on your responses.
We limit the class size to that of a small team; with 8 to 10 being ideal. We have tried as many as 12, but that felt too large and was more challenging than we hoped. This small class size allows for personal connections, meaningful conversations, and true relationship building. Don’t be surprised if you learn as much from each other as you do from the class material.
There is something spiritual about being in nature. It releases us to explore ourselves as leaders on a much deeper level. We work diligently to select venues that include nature elements and direct access to beautiful scenery. Our classrooms overlook beaches, gardens, lakes, mountains, woodlands, etc depending on which city you take the class in. We feel this connection to nature is critical to unplugging from your routine and reconnecting with yourself on a deeper level. What To Wear: Because our classes are held in amazing venues we want to get you outside as much as possible. Please wear clothing that will be comfortable depending on the time of year and current weather.
While there is some lecture, that’s not our primary delivery style. This is an immersive experience that will put you in the driver’s seat. We build a dynamic agenda based on the needs of the group. There are ample exercises, discussions, case studies – everything that you might need in order to learn. We strive to have something for every learning style so that you walk away with as much new learning as possible.
Your classmates will come from all walks of life and different levels within their organizations. We typically have 1 or 2 “C”-level executives and a healthy mix of directors, managers, entrepreneurs, and business owners. Don’t be surprised if you learn more from each other than you do from the class material.
Typically, you will find 2 executives and 1 facilitator per class. The 2 executives are full time leaders of our company who also teach. The facilitator is a wizard at logistics and making sure everything runs smoothly. This cadre will make it their personal mission to gently push you outside your comfort zone and help you grow as a leader.
It may sound a bit old-fashioned, but we bond over a shared meal. The meals are not a time to check-out, but an opportunity to; check-in, have conversation, and learn from your classmates. We start class at the breakfast table and enjoy 3 course lunches. You’ll have the opportunity to select from multiple food options and we work to accommodate most food allergies/preferences. Our foods are typically fresh, local, and organic when available.
It’s hard to get away from the office for training, we get it, one of our core company values is “continue to grow” so we all take external classes every year. You are committing a large amount of time and money in order to grow. It’s hard to learn when you are fielding emergencies via text, e-mail, or phone call. We recommend clearing your calendar, letting you colleagues know you will be out in advance, and designating someone else to take point while you are in training. Maximize your investment by freeing yourself from outside distractions and your learning will skyrocket.
We will challenge you to look inside; to rekindle why you became a leader and renew your passion for leading. There will be ample time to stop and think about your future and what kind of legacy you want to leave as a leader.
Please leave some room in your suitcase as we have a ton of awesome resources for you to take home; including – premium orange Italian leather class binder, a leadership library, tons of valuable handouts, and more.
At the end of class, we will ask you to set a goal, something SMART (Specific, measurable, actionable, realistic, and timely) that can be accomplished within 30 days of completing the class. On our first call together there will be an accountability check, not to beat you up, but to celebrate your accomplishment and offer help if things didn’t go as planned.
For our team, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing you grow. We have put our hearts and souls into designing and optimizing this program to develop you as a leader. We hope our passion for Agile and how it has transformed our lives will be infectious and leave you inspired and ready to lead.
